Q: Who owns a Domain Name?
Domain Names are managed by a global organization which oversees Domain Name registrations (InterNic). When you purchase a domain
name you are really leasing that domain name for as long as you continue to renew. You can register a Domain Name for up to 10 years
at a time.

Q: How do I renew my Domain Name?
The renewal fee is US$39 per domain per year. You will be notified in advance by Dedicated Hosting Services
when renewal fees are due and it shall be your responsibility to ensure that such fees are paid.

Q: I don't have a Web Site yet, why should I register my name now?
Domain Names are being registered at a rate of over 100,000 per month at last count. Dedicated Hosting services will register your Domain Name and
freely park it for you until you are ready to setup an Internet presence. After you register a domain, you can hold it, use it, or sell it.

Q: What are your primary and secondary DNS servers?
When you register your Domain Name with Dedicated Hosting Services unless you specify otherwise, your domain will be registered using our servers. Our DNS Servers for your future
reference are:

Q: How do I change the DNS information for my domain name?
Once your registration is confirmed you will be emailed a username and password to use our online domain manager. Once logged in to this site you may follow the links for Changing DNS.
There is no fee for this.

Q: How do I change the information displayed in the whois results?
The information displayed in the WHOIS results can be modified using our online Domain Management System which you will receive information on once your domain registration is complete.

Q: What should I do after I register a Domain Name?
After you register a Domain Name you may park it on our DNS servers as long as you like if you are not ready to launch your Web Site. If you are ready to launch your Web Site we do offer a

Q: After I choose a Web Hosting company what should I do?
If you choose to host your Web Site with Dedicated Hosting Services setup is a snap. Simply place your order online and your Web Site will be up and running within 24 hours.
If you for some reason choose to host your Web Site with another Hosting Company - it will take up to 5 days for the global DNS servers to update their information and point
your domain to your new hosting provider.

Q: Can I sell my Domain Name? How do I change the Ownership?
You may sell your Domain Name at any time. Some Domain Names have sold for over $5,000,000 before. If you do sell your domain name you can simply login to our DNS Manager and change the information
to reflect the new ownership. If you have any questions we'd be glad to walk you through the process.

At Dedicated Hosting Services we do accept money orders, certified checks, and personal checks. Personal checks, certified checks, and money orders can add significant time to your Domain Registration process. If you have any

Q: Are there any restrictions on the number of characters or profanity?
The current character limit for domain names is 63. This can be a combination of letters, numbers, and dashes ('-'). There is currently no restrictions on profanity in domain names.
